Volume 1 | Chapter 13
Learning Intelligence
“The person who stops learning gradually stops growing in their career.”
Introduction
During my Banking Career, I have seen thousands of Professionals.
Some became Branch Managers within 10 years.
Some became Regional Heads.
Some started their own companies.
And some…
remained in the same position
for 20 years.
Was it because they worked less?
No.
Was it because they were less honest or committed?
No.
Then where was the difference?
The difference was:
Learning Intelligence.
A Story
Two Sales Managers worked in the same company.
Both were 35 years old.
Both earned a Salary of ₹80,000.
Both had 10 years of Experience.
The First Manager
After finishing work,
he watched Netflix.
The Second Manager
He spent 45 minutes every day learning:
- AI
- Excel
- Negotiation
- Leadership
- Public Speaking
Five Years Later
First Manager
Salary:
₹1.20 lakh
Second Manager
Position:
Regional Head
Salary:
₹3.80 lakh
Consulting:
₹1 lakh
YouTube:
₹40,000
Total Income: ₹5 lakh+
The difference was simply:
Learning.
What Is Learning Intelligence?
Learning Intelligence means:
The ability to learn new Skills, apply them in practice, and continuously improve yourself.
Today,
a Degree is only the beginning.
The real engine of Career Growth is:
Continuous Learning.
Why Is Learning One of the Most Important Skills Today?
Earlier,
Skills could remain relevant
for 20 years.
Today,
Technology
is changing every 2–3 years.
- AI
- Automation
- Data
- Digital Banking
- Cyber Security
- FinTech
Everything is changing.
If you stop learning,
the world will not wait for you.

Every Professional should have
two types of Skills.
Core Skills
Skills connected to your current Job.

- Finance
- HR
Future Skills
Skills that can keep you Relevant for the next 10 years.

Second Pillar
Reading Intelligence
Bill Gates
Warren Buffett
A.P.J. Abdul Kalam
N. R. Narayana Murthy
All of them shared one common habit:
Reading.
One book
can teach you
the experience of many years
within a few days.
Third Pillar
Course Intelligence
YouTube
is an excellent resource.
But
Structured Learning
often comes through
Courses.
Every year,
set a goal of completing
at least
2 Professional Courses.
Fourth Pillar
Certification Intelligence
A Certification
is not necessarily proof of
Knowledge,
but
it is certainly evidence of
Commitment.
Especially in fields such as:
- Finance
- Technology
- Project Management
- AI
- Leadership
Certifications can contribute to Career Growth.
Fifth Pillar
AI Intelligence
Today,
learning AI
is no longer optional for many Professionals.
Just as
learning Computers
was essential
today
learning AI
is becoming increasingly important.
AI may not replace you.
But
Professionals who learn to use AI effectively
can become more productive and competitive.
Sixth Pillar
Application Intelligence
Knowledge
has limited value
if it is never used.
The real value of Learning comes
when you apply it.

If you can
explain a subject
to others
in simple language,
it means
you have truly understood it.

Special Study
My Learning Journey
I was a Core Banker.
Coding was not part of my background.
But I started learning on my own.
First,
HTML,
then
Websites,
then
WordPress,
then
SEO,
then
AI,
then
Calculators,
and gradually I developed tools such as the Career Yield Calculator and Credit Underwriting Calculator.
I learned one important lesson:
There is no age limit for learning a new Skill.
Today, with the help of AI, a Professional can learn much faster than before, provided they remain curious and committed to consistent practice.
Learning Self-Test
Ask yourself:
✔ Have I learned any new Skill in the last 12 months?
✔ Have I completed any Professional Course?
✔ Do I use AI Tools?
✔ Have I read at least 12 books this year, or learned from their summaries?
✔ Have I shared my Knowledge with someone else?
If
3 out of 5 answers
are
“No,”
then you should start working on your Learning Intelligence immediately.
The 5-Hour Rule
Many successful people around the world follow a simple principle:
Dedicate at least 5 hours every week exclusively to Learning.
This time can be spent:
- Reading
- Taking Courses
- Learning AI
- Studying Case Studies
- Writing
